Cotton Loses Its Will

Tip provided by Creative Knitting

Several cotton summer sweaters have been rescued by adding a few rows of crochet with elastic thread. Too often the cotton fiber does its usual lateral stretch and looks sloppy after a few washes. I added two or three rows of crochet using a covered elastic thread on the private side at the hemline or neckline, and the problem disappeared, and the fix has lasted for years.
