I made myself a pair of the Lionbrand Boot Socks. I basically followed the pattern as is, but being that I can't simply following directions as is, I did change up the leg length, and heel & sole. I tend to be rough on hand knit socks, so I needed to reinforce them a bit. On the heel flap and sole I did a 1X1 rib on the RS and purling on the WS. Except when I turned the heel...I did a regular garter stitch there.
And since JoAnn's is having a FABULOUS sale on their yarns this week, I used Vanna's Choice Eggplant and Red Heart SS Plum Pudding.

Is that your favorite color? I guess so.
Actually, it's not my favorite color...it's just some yarn I had on hand. I prefer natural/earthy colors. :-)
