Stephanie Janine Brantley
1971 - 2009
Stephanie Janine Brantley (Finney) was born in Bakersfield, CA on September 18, 1971, to John and Frieda Finney. The breast cancer that finally took her life on January 9, 2009, never took away her sweet spirit and smile. Stephanie's faith in God, her strength, and love of her family (especially her babies, Conner and Millie) helped her fight this disease for four years. She was loved and will be greatly missed. Stephanie's dad, John Finney, preceded her in death, as well as her loving grandparents. Left to honor Stephanie's life and memory are her loving husband, David and children, Conner (9) and Millie (4); mother, Frieda Ince Finney; brother and sister- in-law, Scott and Stacey Finney (Kailey, Karlie, Brendon, Madison, Justin, Emma and Ava); and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michele and Michael Burrow (Kylie and Taylor).
Stephanie was fortunate to be a part of a large, extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as close friends that were considered family. We are grateful for the loving care Stephanie received from Dr. Ciarolla and staff, Dr. Dean Davis and staff, Mercy Hospital and the Skilled Nursing Unit on Truxtun Ave., and Optimal Hospice. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park with a viewing on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.
