I had a sleep-over

Yes, I had an adult sleep-over last night. I didn't invite anyone, and I got little-to-no sleep. I went to a sleep study clinic.

I'll admit it....I snore. I snore loudly and robustly. Some women wouldn't admit to that, but I'm ok with it seeing as how it's not my fault. :-) It was determined last night that I have sleep apnea. My oxygen levels went down to the low 60's. Yeh, that scared me too.

The friendly "attendant" woke me up and put a CPAP on me. Can't say I liked wearing it, but it did bring my oxygen levels up to normal (90's).

I was surprised to find out that sleep apnea is responsible for a whole slew of problems: hypertension, stroke, heart failure, irregular heart beats and heart attacks, diabetes, anxiety and depression, weight gain, acid reflux, memory loss, poor performance in everyday activities, and motor vehicle crashes.

So guess who is getting their CPAP machine on Monday? :-)

My Dad has that and wears a CPAP. I learned a lot about it when he was diagnosed. You are right, it is a major contributor to so many other problems. I'm glad you got treatment for it and hopefully you will feel great in no time.

Thanks, Wendy!

I'm too young to have all these problems. I'm hoping that just being able to get oxygen to my brain :-) will help significantly.
