Party like it's 2009

This giveaway is over....

It's time again for the Ultimate Blog Party. How a year got past us so quickly, I have NO idea. The UBP ‘09 will run for one week, from Friday, March 20, 2009 to Friday, March 27, 2009. The prizes will be announced on Tuesday, March 31th.

For my part of the party, I thought I'd pick your brains a little. :-)

I'm currently working on my spring and summer items, but fall and winter will be back sooner than we know. I need to know what you all are looking for in regards to your knitwear for fall and winter....shrugs, sweaters, boleros, wraps, shawls, scarves, etc. Be as specific as you want.

Not only will someone be winning my prize donation from the 5 Minutes for Mom blog, but someone will also win a little something-something here too....a pair of hand knit socks.

These are just SAMPLE socks. The pair I'm making are raspberry, tan, and brown.

And here is half of the pair of socks that I knit for the giveaway. The length is 8" (unstretched) from heel end to toe. There is also quite a bit of stretch in the ankle as well. I made the foot area roomier than a traditional sock. The color here doesn't acurately show how bright the raspberry/rose color actually is. These were knit in the two-needle method as opposed to my usual four DPNs method, so there is a side seam.

NOTE: The $25 gift certificate will be emailed anywhere, but the socks are for US residents only. Thank you.

Hi! Just party hoppin' and I saw knit and crochet and had to click!
I also love to crochet in my spare time when I'm not doing the mommy thing or blogging. I actually have my bag of yarn next to me and really want to start a new project, but have some bloggy business to take care of.

Do you have an etsy store?

Hope you have a great time at UBP!
